designer miranda moreira
Miranda Moreira is a girl after my own heart. She loves Paris in the 1920s - my all-time favourite period in history - and New York and Frida Kahlo. Three years ago she returned to Australia after living in Paris. Sigh. And now she's running the charming Bride & Wolfe.
Which five words best describe you? Loyal, fun, bossy, busy, complex (but not complicated!).
What's your proudest achievement? A vbac (look it up!) with my second son Bruno & also I’m pretty proud of creating a life in Paris from scratch, knowing nobody and speaking hardly any French!
Who inspires you? For me it’s more about places in time than people as such - for example, I daydream of 1920s Paris making films with the Surrealists, New York City in the 70s , Frida Kahlo's Mexico of the 30s etc… this all filters through into my work - I do have a handful of inspiring friends, especially my friend Claire, she is my most brilliant muse.

What are you passionate about? I’m loving the scents of spring and my boys’ tenderness & curiosity.
What's the best lesson you've learnt? Be nice! Welcome help and advice from people you respect.
Which person, living or dead, would you most like to meet? So many! … Charley Harper, Frank Gehry, Luis Bunuel, Maurice Sendak, Dorothy Parker, David Sedaris, Warhol, Julian Schnabel, Picasso, Liberace, Peter Sellers, Serge Gainsbourg, the list is endless and I’d like to buy them all a drink.
What are you excited about? My husband’s recently unearthed talent for creating thrillingly good sexy music!
What are you reading? At the moment, with time constraints, it’s the ever inspiring The New Yorker, anything short and funny or clever.
